Girlee Cosmetics - who? what?! where!?!

The first stand I came across at my first ever IMATS was Girlee Cosmetics. I wasn't at all familiar with the name, but I was sure keen on checking them out. Mainly because their stand was massive and packed to the brim with things that make me (and all of us) giddy. Shadows, pigments, blushes, hair accessories, foundations, liners, correcters, lippies, primers, lashes... SO MANY WONDERFUL THINGS.

I immediately gravitated towards the pigments. The striking colours and shiny bits got me. What can I say? I'm a magpie.

Anyway, I ended up buying three. Two of which were totally justified. And another one. Which was pink. Pink. Well, pinky-purple. Regardless, I have no clue why I bought a pink pigment. No clue. I mean, hey - it's a pretty colour, but it's just not me. The only time I've worn pink on my eyes was when I was about 19. And it wasn't pretty. I blame the firsttime IMATS rush.

Weird behaviour aside, the pigments are beautiful. They pack such a colour-punch and are just divine. Unfortunately, my photos don't really do them justice. Gold Bronze is incredibly shiny irl and HD Bronze is packed with multicoloured microglitter that makes it look amaze.

My next IMATS experience had me running to Girlee first (with Anita in tow). I ended up buying/building a myipalette quad with four stunning neutral shadows (you could also do blushes). It was a task. They had so many incredible shades. *dreamy sigh* I believe the palette cost around $25. Bargain. Stoked.

The shadows are smooth, nicely pigmented and blend beautifully. Highly recommend you check these out at this year's IMATS. P.S. Apologies for not knowing the names of the shades.

I also bought a single shadow and a blush. Again, this was a task. So much to choose from. I ended up choosing a matte, black shadow (B91 True Black) and a pretty, peachy blush with a hint of shimmer (#18 Mango Glow). I think these were 2 for $20 / $12 each. Or 2 for $18 / $10 each. Not too sure. Regardless, decently priced.

I use the blush often. It's a delicious, soft peach that gives me a lovely wash of colour, as well as a light sheen. Perfect for my everyday face. The black shadow also gets use, specifically at nighttime when I'm trying to be sexy. KIDDING.

Now, Girlee Cosmetics is predominately a pro-only brand. Meaning they only really sell to makeup artists and wholesalers. However, they do have a stockist at The Big Wig (click for the link).

Stockist aside, I strongly recommend you check them out at IMATS and if you can, the Sydney International Spa & Beauty Expo later this year. Their stand is quite the experience. Put it on your hit list. Seriously.

I cannot wait to get my mitts on more Girlee things. Definitely attacking their lippies and lashes next. And maybe having a gander at some correcters. And more eyeshadows. Maybe another blush or 2? GOD HELP MY BANK ACCOUNT.

Have you tried Girlee Cosmetics? Thoughts?
