This is the third and final post in this lipstick lovefest. The featuring stars are two Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate lipsticks (20 - hot pink and 04 - blackened purple) and a Chi Chi Viva La Diva Matte lipstick in Hollywood Wannabe.
Let's start with the Kate Moss ones. These came out quite a while ago. In fact, it was waaaay before I even entertained putting anything beyond a balm on my lips. How things change...
Firstly, their pigmentation is a joy. The pink/20 slides on like a smooth 'n' glossy dream (despite the fact that it doesn't look shiny in my swatch). It is soo amazingly lush. And the colour. Well, wow. It packs a massive punch. Oh, so bright! Much love for this pink.
The blackened purple/04 is a little harder to work with. You can probably tell by the swatch. I love the pigmentation and the colour, but it feels...harder. While the pink swipes on effortlessly, this one goes on a teensy bit patchy. And needs more work. Maybe it's due to the colour? I'm not sure. Regardless, this colour makes me weak. God, I love this colour. Never in a million years did I think I'd wear a colour like this, but here we are.
As for lasting power, yes. They seem to last. A while. But as with all the others, once I eat and drink, they slip. These retail for $11.95.
Now to Chi Chi! As soon as I put Hollywood Wannabe on my lips, it was love. The pigmentation was insanity, the matte finish was sex and it was just bloody perfect. Honestly, one of the best lippie formulas I've tried so far. I actually like this matte formula more than I do the Innoxa one. Big. PLUS THE PACKAGING. Oh, how I love the packaging.
This lippie goes on smooth, feels creamy, but dries matte. Matte with no dryness. If you follow me on Instagram (caffeineinduced, if you wanna stalk me), you'd have seen my face wear this A LOT. Because I love it. Plus, I feel like the colour gives my face an almost brightening effect. It does good things, imo. P.S. These lippies retail for just under $20.
All up, both brands are a win. I definetely see more Chi Chi lipstick in my future. And if Rimmel release new Kate Moss colours, I'll be making a bee line.
Hope you enjoyed my little lippie series!
