Fancy footwork

I had to.

If you watched this video, you'd have heard me ranting about an evil, little exfoliating brick I bought from my beloved Pro Nail that completely destroyed my feet. Not only did it make my trotters extremely dry, but it also gave me CRACKED HEELS. Well, it was just one crack. But still. Gross. And traumasting. I threw it out quicksmart and went searching for help. Here's the loot:

Dr Scholl Instant Hard Skin Remover

I had used this a couple of years ago (think it had a diff name!) and loved it. Then I threw it out for some reason and never repurchased. Not sure why. This stuff is a GODSEND. I think it probably does a similar job as the Ped Egg (remember that repulsive ad?) in the way that is scrapes the crap off your feet (seriously, it looks like grated...cheese. Or something.) and leaves them soft and free of hard and dry bits. Plus, it helps to wittle down calluses. It is genius. It's not abrasive or painful, either. Just use it at the end of your shower when your skin has softened a bit. I cannot recommend this thing enough. I bought mine for about $11 from Priceline but saw it at Chemist Warehouse for just under $10. Go now. This and the prod below is what got my feet back to normal.

Palmers Coconut Body Butter

Bought this from Chemist Warehouse while I was wafting around, waiting for my pillz (I scored it when it was on sale for like $4, but it usually retails for around $6). LOVE. This stuff is thick 'n' rich and is the best thing for post-scraped feet. I massage some all over my feet, and then pat some more on my heels and the balls of my feet before popping socks on. Does wonderful things. And smells good. Aaand the scent lasts. Coconut lovers, go!

Premium Spa Peppermint & Menthol SOS Foot Spray

This stuff is damn good for refreshing and soothing my feet/legs after a long day and cooling them down when I'm bed and it's still 35°C (GTFO, SUMMER). Smells very pepperminty and is quite strong. I like the smell and it's punch, but it might be best to sniff before buying if you have a more sensitive schnoz. You can get this from both Big W and Priceline for under $10. A must for summer, imho.

What are your foot prod loves? Any foot-related nightmares to share?

xx

  1. I don't have any nightmares beyond using self-tanner on my feet (you can only imagine). Otherwise , it's a bit expensive but the Clarins Foot Beauty Treatment Cream is awesome. It dries quickly with no residue and leave my feet soft.

  2. My feet aren't a total nightmare, but they are in need of some serious pampering at the moment! Love the sound of the coconut butter, I think the one I have in my drawer is the regular chocolately scent so I might have to track this down. I just hate having to touch my feet to rub it in, can never be bothered.
