Gettin' lippy with it

Yep.

First of all, apologies for the lame title of this post. It's the first thing that came to mind and I couldn't be arsed coming up with something else.

Secondly, I've been buying lip things! And wearing more lip things in general! For me, this is pretty big. I have quite a collection of lip prodz, which is odd because I'm mostly a balm girl. However, since lightening up my eyes makeup-wise, I've been putting a little more punch into my lips. Probably not the best wording...

Here are the lip things that I've been using a lot recently:

Why won't you rotate?!?!?!

Sooo, we've got Clinique's Chubby Stick in Woppin' Watermelon, Australis Colour Inject Mineral lippies in Lick the Icing and Necessary Accessory, a Hello Kitty lippie in Bollywood and a Revlon Colorburst gloss in Decadent.

And some swatches:

Bollywood, Lick the Icing, Necessary Accessory, Decadent and Woppin' Watermelon.

I'm appreciating all of these atm, but there are two that I reach for the most.
Lick the Icing is an Australis hit right now. It was released a little while ago as Limited Edition and apparently it's been selling out like nuts. I happened to come across it at Priceline and swatched. Looked cute. I broke off the tip with a tissue and slapped it on (is that gross?). It was quite out there, but I liked it (it went on a lot thicker/full-on from the broken bullet than it does normally). It was unlike anything I'd ever worn on my lips. A nice barbie pink and lilac mix. I bought it. Now, I can't get enough. Such a good shade! It does go on a tad patchy, but it's fixable. However, don't even bother putting this on if your lips are a little dry because it'll look shithouse. Exfoliate, balm up and then apply! Here's a pic of me wearing it.

Another one that gets a lot of use is Bollywood. I was sent this when the Hello Kitty cosmetic line was first released and immediately fell for it. A gorge fuschia! I use this as kind of like a stain, by dabbing it on, and as a full-on bright lip colour. I love it both ways. Colour, texture and staying power - this stuff's good. Plus, cheap. Here's a pic of me wearing it as a sorta stain.

So, as I strip more and more off the upper part of my face (even my beloved, fat-arse brows have gotten a re-do!), I'm experimenting more and more with my lips. I enjoy.

Have you bought any new lip things recently? Do tell!
xx

    1. From what I've seen of Snob, I think so! It tends to lean a little more lilac, though.

I think you'd look awesome in Snob. And this one. :)
