A tale of awesomeness: hitting pan

For beauty enthusiasts, hitting pan is like striking gold. Or finding a HG foundation. That might be taking it too far. But it’s good.

I’ve been seeing a lot of pan recently (raunchy!) so I thought I’d share. To gloat mainly. And to tell you about stuff I like. And so on.

Savvy by DB bronzer
HG bronzer for me. Nice colour and 100% matte. Luckily I grabbed a backup of this before Savvy decided to overhaul their shit and take it off the market. Not sure if their new bronzer is matte, but I do know that it’s a mosaic looking thing. Regardless, I won’t need to buy bronzer for a while so I don’t really care.

Lancome dark brown shadow in the Blondette Fatale eye and brow quad
Used this brown to the very last particle, as you can clearly see. Was a rich, deep brown that was nice for my brows.

Physicians Formula baked trio in Baked Sands
The dark brown is only showing pan because I dropped the flimsy case and it broke it off. The shadow I genuinely hit pan on is the champagne shade. Really nice to use as a highlight on both my eyes and on my cheekbones. No chunky bits, just a nice clean sheen.

Essence dark brown shade in the Eyebrow Stylist Set
Again, brow thing. Really great colour for my brows. Nicely pigmented, but fall-out is an issue. Plus, it’s real bitch to get off. Really need to scrub at my brows to get it to budge. Weird, but okay.

Inglot MYSTERY SHADOW
This is hands down the best brown shadow I’ve ever used. It’s sooo buttery, smooth and easy to blend. And pigmented. And purty. Ugh, it’s sickening how good this shadow is. I use it constantly. In my crease and along my lashline. Stupidly, I didn’t note down the colour when I bought it so I can’t tell you what it is.

NYX Sparkle Cedar
Ironically, I haven’t used this shadow for quite some time, but I really do love it. Obviously. Great, shimmery taupe which gives almost a metallic finish. I use it as a base colour, as an all over wash and sometimes even to help me blend. I’d like to dabble in more NYX shadows a little further down the track so let me know your loves!

I also hit pan on my Natio blush in Peach Glow a loooong time ago, but as soon as it happened, it started breaking away and fucked off pretty quickly. So I chucked it. Was a nice blush, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

What have you hit pan on recently?

I totally agree with you on the SAVVY stuff! Soo pricey now.. Their bronzer does seem nice the way you describe it though! Meepo!
