The Royal Wedding

Last night (for Aussies), the royal wedding aired on every channel imaginable. I was one of those people who really didn’t give a toss. At all. However, I made the mistake of turning on the TV last night and then couldn’t stop watching. What can I say? I love weddings.

So, firstly, let’s get it out the way – Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie looked like ass. Now, I’m not usually one to judge people on their style – each to their own, I say. Style is a very personal thing. However, I just don’t understand how a couple of 20-somethings, with nice figures and stacks of cash could look that craptacular. Such a shame. Here’s a pic in case you weren’t one of the 20876834569142 people to tune in:

Eugenie’s getup looks more fitted to an old matron with extremely bad taste and Beatrice just looked blah. Not feeling her headpiece, either. Of all the clothes available to them, that’s what they chose!? Boggles the mind.

The only others I’m going to bother commenting on are Posh and Becks. Becks, you looked hot but lay off the bronzer. Posh, the sleek pony, the shoes and the headpiece were phenom but the dress was a sack. A shitty looking sack. I don’t get it. Pic:

Now, let’s get to the Bride. Wow. She looked classic. Elegant. Perfect. The dress was incredible. When I imagine a wedding gown with sleeves, I think ‘ew’ but this was impeccably done. Alexander McQueen, no less. The only thing I didn’t ‘get’ was the bouquet. A bit blah but hey, different strokes. Pic:

Soz for cutting you out, Wills. You'll get your turn.
Her bouquet actually looks really lovely in this shot.

Her hair and makeup, while lovely, could’ve used a little tweaking, imo. Here are a couple of pics:

I think she could’ve used a softer-coloured liner on the bottom lash line. Or - if black’s really her thing - she could’ve done with a bit of a smudge so it wouldn't look so harsh. A lot of people had an issue with her brows and blush and while her blush looked a tad overdone in some shots, I still thought they looked fine and she looked luminous and polished. As for her hair - it was nice but a lil boring.

Her second, party dress was also a winner. And her hair - love! I’m a big fan of bouncy hair with a wave. Pic:

Teeeny waist.

Loving the hair! The liner, not so much.

And let’s not forget the boys, shall we? How freakin sexy and regal were the military getups? Holy moly. Fantasy material. Pic:

YUM.

Also, just to add on – the dress that Pippa (the Bride’s sister) donned was perfection, as well. So chic. And what a body! I also thought her hair was done beautifully. Pic:

If anyone’s getting hitched soon, I’d appreciate an invite. I now have wedding fever. Oh, who am I kidding? I've always had the fever. Always will. Weddings rock. This one was such a fairytale. I totes wanna marry a Prince, now. Hey, it could happen! Right? Right??

My Small BYS Collection

I only have a small BYS collection but am very much looking forward to expanding it in the near future. I think the quality of their products is pretty amazing for the price and they have stacks of cute and pretty things on offer. I’m planning on bagging myself their blush in Coral, some lippies and muuuch later on, some of their gorgeous palettes.

Let’s start with the palettes I currently own:

#9 Bold & Bright

#8 Moonlit Shores

Moonlit Shores is very much me and I just had to have it. The colours are absolutely gorgeous! Here are a couple of swatches:

Natural light

Artificial light

Why I purchased Bold & Bright is a mystery. I think I was distracted by all the pretty colours and just grabbed it. While I don’t like this palette nearly as much as Moonlit Shores, it’s still lovely. P.S. These shades aren’t quite as pigmented as the others and are a tad chalky. However, all shades in both palettes are very blendable and have good staying power. Here are the swatches:

Natural light

Artificial light

Now, let's get to the glitter:

I’m a glitter fanatic. Always have been, always will be. I’m going to be rocking glitter in some way, shape or form til the day I die. When I saw these, I couldn’t resist. My fave colour in glitter form = instant purchase.

The glitter mascara in 05 is best applied over your normal mascara. The wand is craptacular but it does the job to give you pretty, sparkly lashes. Here's a pic of the wand:

Next is the Glitter Eye Creme in Peacock Blue 02. This is one of my most favourite things in my entire makeup collection. To some, it may seem tacky as hell, but to me, it’s the best thing on earth. I usually rock this out clubbing and at various gay events like Mardi Gras (the gays love it). Yeah, it creases very easily and gets messy in a sweaty club but I'm usually too trashed to care. Here it is:

Natural light

Artificial light

I also had a nail polish in Shimmer Blue Hawaii but it sucked and is now floating around at the dump. It needed too many coats to look good and had zero lasting power. Will definitely not be buying another BYS polish.

So, that's my collection (for now). What's your BYS collection like? Are you a fan?

Beauty Tag - Preferences

Michelle over at eat paint sniff glue did this tag and I thought it would be a quick and fun little thing to do! Y'all know I love my tags... Her version can be found here and mine is here:

Go out with messy hair and nice make-up or nice hair and messy make-up?
Messy hair and nice makeup fo sure! I’m pretty much known for being a complete lazy ass when it comes to my hair. I'm queen of the (very) messy bun.

Shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?
Oh shiet. Brows off, I think. Even thinking about it gives me anxiety, though.

Forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?
Sephora. With Sephora US prices. Thanks.

Wear the lipgloss & lip liner look or 80's perm?
I'll go with the gloss and liner look. Not really into looking like Sideshow Bob.

Leave the house with obvious foundation line or over-done blush?
Foundation line. I can easily blend it whereas I’m stuck with clown-like blush.

MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?
Why does everyone bag MC Hammer pants? They’re comfy!

Bad orange-y spray tan or weird tan lines that cannot be covered?
I hate oompa loompa tans but I'll take the tan. I can scrub that bitch off.

Bad haircut or bad hair colour?
Hair colour! Bad haircuts are traumatic. I once bawled my eyes out when I got a bob in primary school. Scarred me.

YouTube or Twitter taken away forever?
Anxiety returning. I’m not even going there.

Give up using make-up brushes or mascara?
What sick bastard came up these? It would absolutely suck not having brushes but I'd give them up. No matter how nicely I do my eye makeup, without mascara, I look like crap.

I tag everyone. Do eet. You know you wanna.

PRODUCT REVIEW - Napoleon Perdis Lip Lacquer in Lolita Lilac

I’m not really a lip person. I adore eye makeup and playing up my eyes but as far as wearing more than a balm on my lips... meh. Don’t get me wrong - I love when girls wear a fun, bright lip or a sexy, nude lip but when I give it a go, I’m less than enthused.

Anyway, getting exposed to this beauty blog business has catapulted me into the world of pretty lips and I'm now making more of an effort to get into glosses and lippies. One of my more recent lip-related purchases is the Napoleon Perdis Lip Lacquer in Lolita Lilac.

How much is it? $20
How much product do you get? 7ml

The good?

It's very glossy and gives my lips a mega-shine which is nice.

It lasts quite a while for a gloss. I'm not sure if this is attributed to the thickness of the gloss (it's verrry thick) but it does last quite a while longer than other glosses I've tried.

The shimmer is pretty and stands out nicely. Plus, it's ultra-fine - no chunky glitter!

The not-so-good?

The packaging. I mean, it looks cute but it’s annoying. You can’t just smother it onto your lips from the tube (which I much rather prefer) – you need a lip brush. Not very convenient if you want to touch-up while you're out.

It’s So. Very. Sticky. If you get this on your hands, get it off quick-smart or you’ll be sticking to everything. Plus, it's thick. Real thick. The thickness isn't that bad but it's not good, either.

It doesn't have much pigmentation. I didn't really expect a POW! colour with this so I wasn't too dissapointed but let it be known that if you're looking for more of a colour punch with your gloss, this isn't the way to go. Despite the colour looking very purple in the tube and on the glob on my hand (pics below), it gives my lips a slight milky-pink tint with blue and purple shimmer.

The price. Truth be told, I didn’t bat an eyelid at the time of purchase but thinking back to it, $20 is quite steep for what it is.

...

Here are some pics taken in different lighing and with/without a flash:

With flash

Without flash

Natural light

Artificial light
Notice the errant hair from my makeup brush on my top lip. Sexy.

While this is a pretty little gloss, it's not worth a re-purchase. The pigmentation is pretty poor, it's very sticky and thick (which drives me a tad insane) and I don't find it worth the $20 price-tag. There are other glosses that are much more pigmented, less sticky and thick and in much more user-friendly packaging.

Have any of you tried Napoleon Lip Lacquers? What did you think of them?

Partial Shopping Ban

A few posts ago, I mentioned that I was planning on buying myself a new cleanser (once I finished the Mario Badescu one that I’m currently using). Anyway, I took a gander into my medicine cabinet to take stock of my skin stuff and suss out what else I needed to buy and found that I had no less than 5 other cleansers. WTF.

After my cleanser discovery, I decided to investigate other areas of skincare. I have about a billion acne-related products such as treatments and serums, a bunch of facial moisturisers and four tubes of masks (one fave and 3 others that are just okay). Bloody hell.

Then, I got to makeup. Firstly, I have a trillion eyeshadows. Not shocked, really. I buy eyeshadow with reckless abandon. I then counted multiple:

  • Bronzers
  • Eyeliners (black, brown, white, brightly coloured, glitter and metallic)
  • Primers
  • Mascaras
  • Brow liners
  • Powders
  • Illuminators & highlighters
  • Lip glosses
  • Foundations

Now, to many of you reading, this might not seem too cray cray (and is probably quite the norm) but I’m a tad horrified and don’t really feel good about having a shitload of products that I barely use. Therefore, in order to start really using my stuff and not just keep buying more and more and barely using anything, I’ve decided to ban the purchase of some things.  From now on, I will not be buying –

  • Bronzer
  • Eyeliner (excluding black)
  • Primer
  • Powder
  • Lip gloss
  • Eyeshadow (so very difficult but so very necessary)
  • Illuminating and highlighting stuff
  • Cleanser
  • Facial moisturiser
  • Acne-related stuff such as treatments etc.

That list looks mighty undoable (and not very fun) but it’s gotta be done. It’s not going to be forever - as if -  just until I use up a significant/satisfactory amount of stuff. As for eyeshadow, I know that I won't exactly be using up a whole bunch of them anytime soon so I'm imposing a 2 month ban on buying them. More if I can handle it. And not to be a complete poo-pants about it, I’m still allowed to buy:

  • Blush
  • Nail polish (I have heaps of these as well but they’re cheap and pretty and I don’t care)
  • Lip products bar glosses (lippies, balms, stains etc. are still a-okay)
  • Black eyeliner

Woe is me.

Anyway, I’ll keep you updated via empties and such (I can’t wait for my first empty!). Wish me luck!

NOTD feat. Ulta3

So, I kinda don't wanna post this NOTD because the photos pretty much suck and don't do the polish justice at all. Plus, my nails are shaped and painted shonkily. However, I haven't posted in a couple of days (bad blogger!) and because I’m absolutely exhausted, I don't have the energy to write up a proper post. So, yeah… here we are.

These are my nails smothered in my fave Ulta3 shade 'Lollypop Lilac' (taken in different lighting):

I adore this polish. It's very sparkly, very shiny and very pretty. What do you think? Yay or Nay?

PRODUCT REVIEW - Face Of Australia High Definition Liquid Eyeliner

Today, I’m going to be reviewing a product I've become quite fond of: the Face of Australia High Definition Liquid Eyeliner.

Photo from FOA website.

How much is it? I believe it was around $12
How much product do you get? Not specified

The good?

First and foremost, the packaging. I wish all brands would cotton on to the fact that liquid liners are so much easier to apply when they’re in the shape of a pen/pencil. Well, for me anyway. I’m always (unpleasantly) surprised by just how few liquid liners are actually in this shape. Anyway, the packaging/shape of this liner makes it an absolute cinch to apply. Plus, it’s sleek and takes up minimal space.

It has a solid black pigment. When I tested this in Priceline, I was amazed by how black it was considering it’s price. It's a true, deep black. Note: If you find that you’re no longer getting a super-black line and feel like the product's drying out, start storing it standing up but upside down. This allows the nib to stay moist with ink/liner. I was a little traumatised when this started looking more grey than black until I started storing it upside down. Now, it’s good as new – woo!

The felt tip applicator is perfection – solid but still slightly bendy so you can easily manoeuvre it across your lid.

The formulation is nice and smooth.

Here's a pic of my eye with this liner swiped across the top lashline. I'm no makeup-maestro so please, be kind! P.S. I didn't realise how ridiculously hard it was to take a decent, non-freaky looking pic of your eye. Bloody hell.

Sup.

The not-so-good?

It can't really manage a complete line across the lid without me putting it's top back on and then shaking it a little to get more ink to the nib. It's a bit of an inconvinience but liquid liners in this packaging often have the same issue.

...

Once mine runs out, I will definitely be picking up another of these. It’s a cheap and pigmented liquid liner in the packaging/shape I prefer. Plus, the felt tip is mega-awesome.

Have you guys tried this little gem? Where do you stand on the whole ‘pen/pencil shape vs other packaging’ when it comes to liquid liners?

RANDOM POST - My Girl Crush On Drew Barrymore

I came across a recent pic of my girl crush the other day. You may know her - her name is Drew Barrymore. Anyway, she's looking as beautiful as ever and also rockin a new do - lush, red locks. Here’s the pic (from this post on primped.com.au):

How hot does she look? How effin phenomenal does her hair look? I’m a big fan of red hair. It looks awesome on pretty much everyone and is just my fave shade ever. So very lush and sexy. *sigh* I want.

Now that I’ve slightly ranted on my adoration for red hair, let me get to my adoration for Miss Drew Barrymore. I love her. I love her style, her attitude, her movies, her everything. You know how sometimes, you may like a celeb but then you catch them in an interview and they’re total douches and you’re immediately turned off? Well, seeing Drew in interviews makes me love her even more. She’s exactly like you think she’d be: natural, quirky, giggly, awesome, funny, easygoing, awesome, lovely, sweet, awesome… Plus she has this rockstar quality that I just adore. Am I sounding stalkerish yet?

Aside from her rockin personality, her style is perfection as well. Yeah, she's had a few ick moments (who hasn’t?) but most of the time, she rocks it. Here are some of my fave looks:

Love everything - the turquoise, the dress
and her hair & makeup.

That hair! That ring! That smile!

Smokin hot.

LOVE.

Adorably retro.

Casual, rocker chic done to perfection.

I die. <3 x infinity.

I love her. The end.

Do any of you crush on Drew like I do? Who are your girl crushes?

RAVE - Ulta3 Nail Polish

Oh, Ulta3 nail polishes, how I adore thee...

If you haven't yet tried these little bottles of joy, you absolutely should! It’s because of these that I have pretty much vowed to never spend over $3 on a nail polish. Yes, that sounds majorly tightass but unless something is really spectacular and mega unique, I just can’t justify dropping $20+ on a polish that I’m going to be infatuated with for maybe a week and then move on from once I find something new. That’s just me.

Anyway, these polishes are fab quality and the colour selection is mind-boggling. Any colour you can think of and then some, Ulta3 has on offer. Plus, they have dupes (the latest is ‘Twilight’ as a near-identical dupe for Chanel’s ‘Paradoxal’). Woo for that!

What is also impressive is the range of finishes they offer. Metallic, standard, cream, glitter, shimmer and chrome-effect – you name it. Other brands around this price-point don’t usually extend past basic finishes so it’s pretty freakin awesome that Ulta3 provides such an amazing variety of finishes and colours.

Here’s a pic of my absolute fave of the brand, ‘Lollypop Lilac’:

When I saw this polish, I lost my mind. It was gorgeous, mega-sparkly and gave off this intense, chrome-like shine. In the photo, it just looks OK, but in real life, it's amazing and very unique. Sure, OPI and other exxy brands churn out these kinda polishes all the time, but definitely not for under $3. Look out for this shade in an upcoming NOTD. I hope my photos do it justice!

If you haven’t yet tried Ulta3 nail polishes, please do. You may think they’re cheap and nasty and the idea of rummaging through a giant bucket of nail polish might make you cringe but it’s damn worth it. Go hit up your local pharmacy and get your rummage on! The quality and selection will blow your mind.

Btw, NYC Color is another brand that’s very similar to Ulta3 (same price, same awesome quality and same mind-boggling colour/finish selection). You’ll usually find these thrown into the same tub as Ulta3. They’re also available at crushcosmetics.com.au.

P.S. Mode Cosmetics nail polishes (also found in buckets or *shock* actual stands) are cheap and generally quite fab as well. However, they do tend to be a little hit and miss in terms of quality so keep that in mind.

What do you think of Ulta3, NYC Color and Mode Cosmetics nail polishes? Are you a fan of these little cheapies or are you more of an expensive-tastes girl when it comes to your polishes?

Quickie Post

Hey all!

This is just a quick little post for my Aussie readers (sorry others!).

Go and sign up to rougemag.com.au if you haven’t yet done so. It’s a beauty site that offers tips and tricks as well as other beauty bits and pieces. Most importantly though – and the reason why I’m even blogging about it – is that they constantly churn out some pretty awesome sample and freebie offers. So far, I’ve scored a bunch of haircare as well as an Olay Anti-Ageing eye roller. Wee!

Btw, I’m not affiliated with the site at all. I just thought I’d let y’all know so you can bag some freebies, too. Everyone likes free stuff, no?

Do you guys know of any other good freebie/sample sites? I'd love to hear about it!

  38. Watching a mother bird feed her babies. I have a nest in the tree outside my bedroom window that’s seen 2 sets of baby birds. Watching her come and go with food for her little ones made me smile.
  39. Immersing myself in a great book.

Schwarzkopf Extra Care Relaunch aka Hair Heaven

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to attend the Schwarzkopf Extra Care relaunch hosted by Sweaty Betty PR. It was my first event so I was obviously beside myself with excitement. However, once I arrived, my excitement pretty much quadrupled.

The set-up was amazing. Think: a mock-supermarket filled with Schwarzkopf goodies and accented with delicious treats. I’m no master photographer but here are a few pics (click to enlarge):

*sigh* Heaven

Double *sigh*

Pretty in pink

Schwarzkopf prides itself on revolutionizing hair care and is the first to use Liquid Hair Technology with Liquid Keratin aka liquid gold for your hair.  The ‘Ultimate Repair’ range is their latest offering and is definitely the range I was most excited about (although, truth be told, I was pretty much thrilled with every range on offer). It’s got 3 times the Liquid Keratin – oh my golly – and I was informed that while it provides full-on repair and rejuvenation, it doesn’t weigh down hair at all. Here’s the ‘Ultimate Repair’ shelf:

All in all, the relaunch was amazing. I had a fab time checking out the ranges and picking up some goodies. Here is my goodie basket next to Clare’s from cclarebear.com:

Thanks again to Sweaty Betty PR and of course, Schwarzkopf for a phenomenal day! Look out for a bunch of reviews in the very near future.

PRODUCT REVIEW - Australis Colour Corrector in 'Green'

This was a requested review (my first - woo!). It’s on the Australis Colour Corrector in ‘Green’. By the way, I'm sorry about the bad photography in this post. Won't happen again.

How much is it? $9.95
How much product do you get? 15ml

The good?

It’s got decent pigment so it tones down redness quite well. I wear this as a primer all over my face because I have a lot of acne, scarring and redness and it works well to make my skin less angry-looking.

It’s a nice consistency. It’s a slightly watery cream and is easy to smooth around and blends nicely.

It keeps my makeup on for longer. I don’t know if this is just in my head but I honestly feel like my makeup wears better when I have this on.

I've got pics of my face with and without the corrector. My skin is in really bad shape so take that into consideration. Those of you with a little redness/acne will get a much better result. Also, sorry for the crappy photos.

Bare-faced.
Wearing the corrector.

The not-so-good?

While the pigment is decent, it’s not superduper green. You may want to skip this if you want an extremely pigmented green.

It's a great price.

It’s very shimmery. I’m not sure why Australis decided to put shimmer into a product that many use to tone down blemish redness. After all, we all know that glitter/shimmer is not acne’s friend. In fact, they’re mortal enemies. Maybe they were thinking along the lines of the shimmer deflecting the light away from the blemishes? I’m not sure. Regardless, the shimmer is NOT visible when makeup is slapped over it - phew. That goes for both thick foundations and thinner, mineral powders. However, I would much rather prefer if shimmer wasn’t involved at all.

Another photography fail.
This makes it seem like there's minimal
shimmer when in reality, there's a hell of a lot.

All in all, I like this little tube. I will be repurchasing as it’s a good price, does a decent job at toning down my angry redness and works well as primer.

Have any of you tried this? Got any green correctors to recommend?

What I'm Using Right Now

I got this idea from Emily over at Emily’s Anthology. Here’s the link to the original post: http://tinyurl.com/3docgew. Anyway, a bunch of others did it, I thought it was a cool idea and frankly, I love doing shit like this. Here we go…

Shampoo: Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal. Never been a Pantene fan but this has transformed my hair and made it lush with hydration.

Conditioner: Don’t use one as I find they weigh down my thin hair too much.

Styling products: Don’t use any.

Shower Gel: Naturistics Body Wash in ‘Lemon Verbena’ or LUX shower gel in ‘Tropical Sunset’ depending on my mood, the weather etc. Delish scents.

Body moisturiser: Um, I’m bad. I hardly ever moisturise my bod. When I do, I use Vaseline Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Body Lotion. Smells awesome and moisturises really well.

Deodorant: Nivea Pure Invisible.

Fake Tan: Not a fan of the faux tan. Mainly because I suck at application and end up looking like Patchy McPatcherson. The most I’ll do is a gradual tanner and even doing that is pretty rare. When I do bother, I use Dove Summer Glow in ‘Fair to Medium skin’.

Cleanser: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Face Wash for Acne. It’s aight.

Toner: Don’t use one.

Exfoliator: At the moment, I’m using Clinique’s 7 Day Scrub Cream. It’s lovely but it’s not my fave.

Peeling: Um, I’m not exactly sure what this refers to. I do get glycolic peels done sometimes…

Mask: DDF Sulfur Therapeutic Mask. Love this.

Serum: Not using a serum at the moment.

Moisturiser: Rosehip oil or Simple’s Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser. Love the rosehip oil and love the Simple lotion (very light, sinks in quickly yet moisturises well).

Primer: This varies – I use three depending on my mood. Weird, I know. I use: L’Oreal Studio Secrets Anti-Shine Mattifying Primer, Australis Colour Corrector in ‘green’ (I slap this all over my face like I would a primer) or the Mario Badescu Healing Cream.

Foundation & brush: I stipple on my MAC Studio Fix Fluid with my MAC 187.

Concealer: I layer my foundation so I don’t pile on concealer as well. Prob could use the extra coverage, though...

Powder: Australis Pressed Powder in ‘Natural’.

Blusher: Natio blush in ‘Peach Glow’.

Bronzer: Clinique True Bronze Pressed Powder in ‘Sunkissed’.

Highlighter: Luminosity by ModelCo.

Eyeshadow base: None. Naughty.

Eyeshadows: Um, seriously? I change all the time. Atm, one of the many that I’m loving sick is the Physicians Formula Baked Collection Wet/Dry Eye Shadow in ‘Baked Sands’. Just wrote a review on it down below.

Eyeliner: Covergirl liquiline blast in ‘Black Fire’

Curler: Don’t use one. I’m scared I’m going to pull out all my lashes or tug on my eyelid. Ouchies.

Mascara: Covergirl Lashblast Volume.

Lipstick: None. Not a lipstick girl.

Lipgloss: None. Not really a lipgloss girl, either.

Nail Colour: I’ve got NYC Color in ‘metal’ on my nails at the moment.

That was fun. Yes, I’m a dork. I love reading these so please go write one, too!

PRODUCT REVIEW - Physicians Formula Baked Collection Wet/Dry Eye Shadow

It’s review time once again and this time I’m going to be looking at a rockin eyeshadow trio – the Physicians Formula Baked Collection Wet/Dry Eye Shadow in ‘Baked Sands’.

How much is it? $20 (currently $12 at Kmart – run, don’t walk).
How much product do you get? 2.1g

The good?

The pigmentation is effin phenomenal. These come out even better than they appear in the pan. Even the shimmery beige highlight is incredibly pigmented, not just a basic, shimmer-fest with no colour like cheaper highlights can often be.

You can use them wet or dry. I’m pretty sure you can use nearly all eyeshadows in this way but it’s still an awesome point. If you think these babies are pigmented when dry, check them out when wet. They look insane. My photography skills (or lack thereof) do them no justice *sigh* but take a look anyway:

Dry

Wet
Sorry the bronze swatch is significantly thinner than the others!

They’re smooth and blendable. They blend like a dream and go on like butta. BUTTA!

You get a lot of product. $20 isn’t supercrazycheap but hey, compared to some other brands, it’s pretty much a steal. Not only is the pan a decent size but the shadows are also domed so you get a hefty amount of wears.

The not-so-good?

The product itself has no flaws whatsoever but the packaging is a tad flimsy. It's a little too light and can easily fly out of your hand if you're not careful (trust me - evidence below). This isn't a major issue, though. Just gotta be careful and not throw shit around like I tend to do...

Not even kidding, I nearly cried when this happened.
My poor chocolate brown. :(

All in all, I absolutely adore this little trio. When I first bought it, I fell in love with it and used it constantly but then forgot about it once I bought other stuff (don’t you hate when that happens?). Anyway, I recently rediscovered it, fell back in love and knew I had to review it because it was too awesome a product to not mention and I think everyone should give it a shot. Impeccable quality for the price. If my trio isn’t rocking your boat, there are a bunch of other colours available, too.

Have any of you guys tried these trios before? What did you think?
